Waka Flocka added his two cents on a meme that recently went around with Lil Uzi Vert and Nas.
The meme showed Lil Uzi on the left with the caption ‘your hip hop’ and Nas on the right with ‘my hip hop’.
Waka Flocka chimed in and reposted the image making it clear he doesn’t believe Uzi is even considered hip hop.
The post, which is now deleted, can be seen on The Shade Room where Waka said, “this post ain’t bool [Lil Uzi Vert] is rock not hip hop! This generation has Logic, J Cole, Meek, K Dot etc. let my era be great!!! Side note rock artist always been edge”.
This isn’t the first time Uzi has been ridiculed or criticised for not falling into the traditional box of the hip-hop genre but there’s no sign of him caring all that much.
He did after all once say, “the old must die”.
