Nike have unveiled their latest sneaker: the NikeLab ACG.07 KMTR. The sneaker will be released as part of the ACG 2017 collection, which will also feature clothing and another sneaker.
The most noticeable feature of the new ACG sneaker is the lack of laces. The sneaker can be pulled close at the heel with the use of a magnetic lock and pull cord. A magnetic buckle and strap over the arch renders the wearer a tighter fit. The sneaker itself is a single-piece boot made with a water-resistant and four-way-stretch textile and features a premium phylon midsole and rubber outsole.
The inspiration behind the NikeLab ACG.07 KMTR is rather simple; the designers put paper bags over their feet to get the shape of shoe and thus gave them the idea create a one-piece sneaker that has easy accessibility and a snug fit. Which goes to show that some of the brightest ideas can have humble origins.
The NikeLab ACG.07 KMTR sneaker is set for release on 18 May.
