Being dead almost eight years hasn’t stopped Michael Jackson’s success and record sales as his album ‘Thriller’ goes 33x platinum.

The Recording Industry Association Of America (RIAA) recently announced that Jackson’s album ‘Thriller’ became the only album ever to have sold more than 105 million copies worldwide since it’s release in 1982.

The record is also the most awarded album in US recorded history and has spent 37 non-consecutive weeks at no. 1. Seven of the nine songs on the album have also managed to reach the Top 10 singles chart.

‘Thriller’ not only included the popular title track but also had hits like ‘Beat It’ and ‘Billie Jean’.

Jackson’s 1987 follow-up album, ‘Bad’, has also received the RIAA 10x Diamond Award.
