NBA legends LeBron James and Kevin Durant reportedly recorded a hip-hop track together six years ago.

According to ESPN’s Chris Haynes, the pair recorded the song during the 2011 NBA lockout.

“Both players are music junkies, and in between workouts they decided to kill some time by writing their own lyrics and heading to the booth,” Haynes wrote.

“One person who has heard the song says he recalls Durant rapping the first verse, James hopping on for the second and then Durant finishing it off.”

Apparently James and Durant were questioned about the track before and they confirmed it existed but burst into laughter without giving anything else away.

Haynes also said that one listener said it was “a quality track” and the lyrics were “surprisingly well-crafted and delivered.” Even Eric Goodwin who once represented both Durant and James said he suggested submitting the track to Warner Brothers for the soundtrack of 2012 film ‘Thunderstruck’.

Though we know it exists, the hip-hop track in question hasn’t been released and although enemies on the court right now, we can only hope James and Durant make the perfect pair in the studio.
