Donald Glover has confirmed buzz regarding his statement during his performance as Childish Gambino at the Governors Ball where he implied his next music project will be his last.

“I’ll see you for the last Gambino album,” he said at the end of his performance. Fans have since been wondering if he really meant what he said and now, in an interview with Huffington Post, Donald Glover has given some insight into what he meant when he said that. Unfortunately, he has confirmed and reiterated his statement.

“There’s nothing worst than like a third sequel, like a third movie and we’re like, ‘again?’” he said.

“I like it when something’s good and when it comes back there’s a reason to come back, there’s a reason to do that.”

Although he may consider Childish Gambino no longer necessary, I’m sure fans would disagree and like he said, if there’s a reason to come back, it’s better. So maybe we’re just setting ourselves up for a massive Gambino comeback in about five years time.

Although Glover may be stepping back from music after his next album, he’s still got a tonne of other projects in the works including his roles in ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ and ‘The Lion King’ and also plans on developing an animated version of ‘Deadpool’.
