Azealia Banks has had her arrest warrant retracted after she appeared in court following an alleged boob-biting incident.

After the 25-year-old rapper failed to appear in court on Monday to face charges of misdemeanour assault, attempted assault and disorderly conduct, a warrant for her arrest was sent out.

The charges stem from a 2015 incident where Banks allegedly punched and bit the breast of a nightclub security guard after she was prohibited from entering a private party at NYC’s ‘Up&Down’.

According to Banks’ Lawyer, she missed the court date because she had confused the dates and was in Europe during the time.

“She was in France for Fashion week due to meetings and other social gatherings and was not able to arrange her flight in time to appear today,” Banks’ lawyer said in a statement.
“She apologizes and will apologize in person to the Court for missing her scheduled hearing.
“In addition, she attempted to appear via a New York Attorney and through a close family member.
“Ms. Banks will go to the department to remedy the situation as soon as possible. Again, she apologizes for the inconvenience that may have caused the Department.”

After appearing in court after receiving the arrest warrant, Banks managed to avoid the charges because the LA Attorney didn’t believe the footage obtained from the incident provided enough evidence.
