Always competitive, adidas are set to release all new NMDs on 6 April. It appears to be a subtle response to the Nike Air Max Day, which took place this year on 26 March (the 30th anniversary of the original Air Max 1 release).

The adidas NMD Day will see a whole range of old favourites and new releases become available for purchase.

The old NMD R2 will return and will be available in over seven new colourways including an interesting polkadot. Alongside the R2 return will be the launch of the brand new NMD R2 ‘Two-Toned’ Pack, which has both a black and white option but with a vibrant red on the outsole, heel tab and medial bumper.

Also rereleasing on NMD Day is the adidas NMD XR1 in three new colourways. These colourways are a triple black, navy and zebra (for those who missed out on a pair of the zebra Yeezys).

If NMD Day goes well for adidas, it’ll be interesting to see if they’ll follow Nike and turn it into an annual event.
