The dates and venues have been announced; now all we’re waiting for is who’s actually taking to the stage for Listen Out 2017. We’ve already had some teasers and some leaks  but with no official news yet we thought we’d take a look at five of the artists we’d really love to come to Australia for Listen Out.

1. Future
Future is a hot pick for this year’s Listen Out lineup. The American rapper’s discography is impressive: since his debut in 2009, he’s produced six studio albums, 12 mixtapes and a staggering 61 singles (41 of which as a featured artist). If Future does indeed perform at Listen Out in September, fans are sure to hear all of their favourites from his extensive collection.

2. Big Sean
Big Sean came to Australia in 2013 for his first ever solo tour and fans are probably eager to get him back here. With Kanye West, Eminem and The Notorious B.I.G as his influences, Big Sean’s career has gone from strength to strength since he first signed to West’s label GOOD Music in 2007, releasing four studio albums in the last five years all of which peaked in the top three on US music charts.

3. Rae Sremmurd
American hip-hop duo Rae Sremmurd formed in Mississippi in 2009 by brothers Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmie. Rae Sremmurd, with the success of two certified-platinum records behind them, began their very own record label SremmLife Crew Records, which signed several of the Mississippi rappers the brothers worked with before their big break. The duo was last here in 2015 so no doubt fans want to see them on the Listen Out lineup this year.

4. Isaiah Rashad
Isaiah Rasha began his hip-hop career in tenth grade when he would record raps on laptops with his friends. Since those humble beginnings, Rashad has gone on to feature on tracks and albums by Childish Major, Jay Rock, Audio Push and SZA. He’s also put out an EP and studio album, which went to number four on the US R&B/Hip-Hop chart.

5. What So Not
What So Not began as an Australian electronic duo formed in 2010 by Emoh Instead and Flume (who left in 2015). What So Not has performed at festivals around the world including Coachella, Lollapalooza and Ultra Music Festival, has released four EPs and have collaborated with artists like RL Grime, Peking Duk, Major Lazer and Skrillex.

With official lineup announcements still yet to be made, stay tuned for more news of Listen Out 2017!
