The 2017 NBA playoffs are officially underway in America right now to find the league champion team of the 2016/17 season.

So far the Cleveland Cavaliers  have made it into the second of the seven-round eliminations, taking a 106-102 victory over the Indiana Pacers

Following Oklahoma City Thunder’s loss to the Houston Rockets, the press conference became a little testy after a reporter asked Steven Adams if the Thunder struggled when star player Russell Westbrook went to the bench. Westbrook took the question instead and proceeded to chide the reporter for suggesting that the Thunder is only good when Westbrook was on the floor: “We’re all one team. If I go to the bench, this team is on the floor. If I’m off the floor, we’re in this together. Don’t split us up”.

Injuries have made a grim appearance amongst several players. Austin Rivers was ruled out of the next game with a hamstring injury while Blake Griffin won’t be back at all for the rest of the season with a toe injury, meaning the Los Angeles Clippers have to scramble to replace two players. Odds and predictions for the upcoming Clippers v. Utah Jazz round have been affected by the injuries. Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr has also announced that his coaching tenure is in doubts for the rest of the season as he is stepping down indefinitely due to severe back troubles, which has caused him to miss several games already.

With the 2017 NBA playoffs set to continue for the next several weeks, stay tuned for plenty more news and updates to come.
